Meet sweet Hope. She is a beautiful 6 month old pure bred blue nose pit bull that I rescued out of an abusive home in downtown Grand Rapids last week. Hope is weighing in at fifty pounds right now, and our vet told us she will likely reach sixty pounds. She enjoys running around Jared’s large backyard playing with our golden retriever and puggle. Hope’s breed requires lots of exercise, and “Hopey” is just thrilled to go on several long walks a day. She is an outstanding walker-no pulling on the leash nor is she bothered by cars, people, loud noises, or other animals. She is generally calm with the proper exercise, generous with kisses when around us, and also when we took her to acouple large neighborhood gatherings this past weekend. We melt when she looks at us with those big brown eyes searching for constant direction, ways to please, and learn. Jared and I are fostering her and enjoy knowing she is safe and happy while we find her a loving family that will adore her as much as we already do. We are working with a wonderful local organization called Pet Tales Rescue to find her just the right home.
